YOUTH PROJECT

Another life International is a multi-sectoral non- governmental, charitable, Non – profitable organisation that is out in arm to right the ills of poverty, lack and oppression visited upon                                                                                                                                    man, it’s a registered NGO and CBO, the registration No for CBO is 807 and NGO is S.5914- 4531.

About 45% of Uganda’s population are below the poverty line. And of these the youth are severely affected due to several factors that are historical, political and cultural as well as economical. The problem of poverty among the youth is aggravated by the fact that many of them have not attained any developmental skills to initiate some economical activities.

In addition the problem of HIV/AIDS  has left many youth parentless and without anybody to take care of them as result many of these young people have stormed city street in search of food.

As a way of surviving the population in particular the youth are involved in environmental degradation in their effort to earn a living through uncontrollable charcoal burning, brick making, wetland destruction etc. this has led to negative effect on sustainable environmental management. 

Much as every person has a right to own property, to have an education, to clean environment and to life, poverty has derived people most if not all of these rights. People are finding it impossible to meet the basic necessities of life and the fundamental freedom and choice. So we decided to act.

WHAT WE HAVE DONE TO HELP THOSE YOUTH AND WHAT WE ARE PLANING TO DO.

Evangelism and HIV/AIDS Workshops .

We  reach out to youth in schools, universities, centers and prisons with the gospel of the saving message of Jesus Christ, HIV/AIDS sensitization workshops and counseling because many are HIV/AIDS infected and affected, many young people have died of this deadly diseases.

This amount of money can change someone’s future. You may be the one God has designed to usher one youth into God-ordained destiny. You can position yourself in this area and help one youth to become somebody. When you make your decision, we will send you his/her profile with a photo. (I was hungry and you did not help me. I was thirsty and you didn’t quench my thirst…) God has left the poor in our midst so that He can give us an opportunity to be true co-workers with Him as we feed the hungry, and help the helpless generally. 

Those who are still young enough and they are ready to go back to school we find them sponsors many drop out at the level of the university and they could not afford tution fees because there orphans and many are needy. So if you can sponsor a person of this kind you can contact us.

We also give them managerial skills training, project planing training and vocation skills.

We create income generating project for the no and low income earners. Like tailoring and fashion designing, stationary shops, barber shops, maize milling, bee keeping, pig farming, poultry farming, cattle keeping, tree planting and trading. etc

Revolving funds

We also give small loans to youth for business but without interests

Job opportunities

By creating projects, this create jobs amongst the young people and it reduces the unemployment due to too much poverty which is eating the young people.

SOME OF THE YOUTH WHO DESERVE THE BEST IN LIFE, HERE ARE SOME OF THE STORIES.

My names am called Nansubuga Anett, aged 33 year, Ugandan by nationality, I grew sick, three years with out food, seeing things I don’t understand, I didn’t go to school, I got married and I gave birth seven children, one died, and my husband died of HIV/AIDS in 2000 and I have HIV/AIDS. My needs is the sponsorship of my children and I need a shelter to stay in. please help me.

MY names am called Agnes Nambi, aged 28 years who fully responsible for the welfare of my two daughters. In the month of August- 2003. We were involved in a fatal motor accident when a speeding car knocked both of us, me and my husband on a bicycle. My husband died on the scene of the accident and I was rushed to hospital where I spent seven month on admission with both of my legs being amputed.

Iam now helpless disabled who is living in very poor and bad condition with my two young daughters. I do not have any income generating activity for our sustainance, worse more, am worried of my daughter’s future because I do not have money to pay their school fees for the continuation of their education so please kindly rescue us in Jesus’ name by assisting me with a financial donation so that I could buy a wheel- chair and also set up kiosk as an income generating activity for our sustainance.

OUR NEEDS

Ø       Orphanage Homes and Kindergarden a home and the school for  the orphan ,abandoned, and abused child is very  important and needful to a life of a child of that kind.

Ø       Children center, where children can  go for recreation, entertainment, and sports.

Ø      A service van for the elderly and a Ambulance:  This van is going to help us reach out to the needy youth in the villages and who are sick at the hour where no help can be given, the ambulance will always be there for them, at any time it can be used to take them back. And other administrative work for the youth.

Ø      Hospital for the youth: This hospital will meet the needs of the youth in the health sector, because many have HIV/AIDS and  many other incurable disease counseling and free medical treatment will be received.

Ø      Music equipments, speakers, mixers, amplifiers, drums, keyboard, microphones, guitars e.t.c these equipments will help us to train the under privileged child who are talented in music.

Ø      Computers and projectors will help us in the training of any kind, since we have in our plans a program of computer training center we need so many computers

Ø      Video cameras and still photos are also very important to us because we have a to train the under privileged so that they can enjoy every opportunity in the world

.

Ø      Studio equipments; we are planning to set up a recording studio for both video and audio because we have realized that people have talents and they can earn a living out of it

Ø      TV & Radio equipment

This program we are planning to set up a television and radio station to work as an income generating activity for our work
