Introduction

The faith in Action international is of God with a mission to evangelize, disciple and improve the world. Way back in 1999, while still a teenager, pastor Adams Ssenano was visited by the Lord and given this assignment. Since then, there have been years of training, testing, service, promotion and trials. Under the tutelage of seasoned servants of the Lord like Pastors Robert Kayanja and Jamada kikomeko, Adams has learnt a lot concerning the mission the Lord assigned him. By Gods grace the ministry has grown and today, has a one of the Biggest Seminar called “Bible Dinner” where we preach to a thousand people, with powerful music presentation, mainly to people who come hungry and then after we feed them with food, give them clothes, medical services and counseling in the suburbs of the capital city of Uganda-Kampala, an evening Bible study (As follow up to those who give there live to Christ during the seminar and those who want to learn more about God and serve Him.

Faith in Action until was conceived and authored out of Another Life International. This organization is a non-governmental, Non-Profitable which was formed to help the underprivileged to live a better life. Many African countries have gone through wars, which has led many countries to have genocide e.g. Rwanda, Uganda etc. and many are affected by HIV/AIDS & millions of people have been killed by this deadly disease. There are many hunting without relief, hungry without nourishment, in lack without provision, sick without cure; we believe that Jesus is the answer, so we decided to act.

Another life international together with faith in action international ministry have decide to reach out to the hurting world with the Love of Jesus Christ through relief of food, medical care, economic empowerment, clothes building peoples houses, child sponsorship and evangelism. We are going to open up an Office in Rwanda & Burundi. So stand with us, as we give hope to the hopeless.

Our upcountry outreach has led us to the northern part of Uganda, and arrivaled at a miserable districts of Gulu.Since the commencement of the current regime in 996,someone by the names of Josphe kony took up arms against the current regime (Ugandan Goverment)with no known agenda,he visited upon the people of the north,Gulu,Kitgum, padar, with such untold misery, pain, loss ,many lost their families, many are orphran without any hope of family, many are maimed, mutilated, and traumatised many were sexually abused and have lost confidence in everyone, many are dispressed, homeless....in realite family lile is almost inexistent because many arew in protected camps.so that's why we are there to struggle for these people.

OUR HEARTS DESIRE

PROBLEM STATEMENT:

For a long time, the church has been idle while events and issues have proliferated with both positive and negative consequences. Reading any mainstream accounts of developments in the world reveals the marginal.

Function of the church in the affairs of men. In our region- The great lakes African region) when the Hutu (Rwandese tribe) massacred a million Tutsi (another Rwanda tribe), everyone asked, “where was the United Nations?” No one asked, where the church was. When Uganda (land indeed sub-Saharan Africa) looses millions of people to AIDS, again every one asks,  “What is the UN doing?” sometimes they lament, “The world ignores Africa.”

For me as servant of the Lord that is an indictment to the church. The question everyone ought to ask should be, “where are the sons of God?” even the Bible tells us that creation groans that the sons of God be revealed (Romans). Jesus, our Lord and Saviour cautioned that no one lights a candle and put it under a bushel (Mathew).

So why is this the case? Why is it the world is answering the questions of the day? Why is the church conspicuously absent in the perils of humankind? Lord forbids that this trend should go on!!

It seems to me that for one, the church needs to return to its basic function of evangelism, albeit with more aggression. We also need to develop on the already available methods new means of achieving the goals of the great commission. New methods suggests that the church itself needs teaching with a view of imparting new mentalities that will maximize our abilities (Romans 12”2-4); New ideas with both spiritual and social impact. To achieve this will sometimes involve non-traditional spiritual dimensions that will put the church back to its role as “the first and not the last” and as “the head and not the tail”.

THE MINISTRY GOAL:

To rise up God fearing people, Him-dependent, knowledgeable, dynamic and a God-led generation that will ensure everlasting benefit to God and all mankind.

THE MINISTRY MISSION:

To teach and evangelize our community and strengthen the capacity of churches and societies at large by preaching, loving, sharing, and giving.

BASIC OBJECTIVES OF THE MINISTRY

1.        To evangelize to the lost world the saving message of the Lord Jesus Christ.

2.        To teach the church of the Lord the knowledge and instruction of his wisdom/

3.        To improve the welfare of the down cast, marginalized, and the oppressed. These include-refugees, prisoners, street children, widows and orphans and in some cases, women.

4.        To dismantle the prejudices along sex, tribal racial, and ethnic lines so prevalent in Africa and gaining emphasis around the world.

5.        To mitigate the catastrophic abilities of such bio-vices like AIDS, malaria, and Tuberculosis in tropical regions of the world and those that are endemic in other parts of the world like heart diseases, excessive weight, cancer and Alzheimer.

6.        To resolve violent conflict in the world, through peace missions and campaigns especially in the Great lakes African region.

RATIONALE:

1.        By evangelizing the world, we will bring many to the revelation of the Lord and their salvation.

2.        Evangelism (spreading the Gospel) involves the church in outdoor activities and is the initial impact the church has on its environment.

3.        Teaching is essential for knowledge, instruction and wisdom. The challenges that modern society poses require new ideas and both a dynamic and pragmatic approach not familiar in the church.

4.        The church needs to get involved in dismantling racial, prejudicial and ethnic barriers considering that we have the prince of peace and the ultimate message of love.

5.        The church needs to come to the forefront of crises world over because we are the ones with the ultimate solution- Jesus Christ.

CURRENT ACTIVITIES OF HE MINISTRY:

1.        Church planting and Growth: we currently don’t have sanctuary but intend to plant one because the Bible Dinner has made a great impact many have come to the Lord and we need a sanctuary to keep the new contents growing in the Lord. Our goals are to plant at least 10, in all by the end of the next year.

2.        Bible Dinner Crusades/seminar: we hold one crusade/seminar per week in the city suburbs, and up-country towns and villages. Here we make it with open-air crusades/seminar. We invite powerful music groups in the city, who minister and we preach the word. After all this we feed the hungry, provide medical services to the sick and then dress the undressed. We do this in partnership with a Christian NGO called Another Life International, which works in the same way of the healing the underprivileged. Orphans, widows, youth elderly, Aids infected & affected.

3.        Conferences: we hold conferences and seminars on a wide range of issues we believe are beneficial to the saints and the world at large. Usually we do this in cooperation with other churches and sometimes organizations that may share the same vision with us

4.        Evening Bible Study Seminars: we hold this activity to help the new convents to gain spiritual growth and to train those who want to preach the good news to world.

5.        Partners/well Wishers Seminars: we meet once every moth to discus on-coming strategies and review performances.

6.        Abstinence and Fidelity Promotion Campaigns: Following the wide spread scourge of the AIDS endemic we have responded by launching a serious campaign promoting Abstinence and Fidelity. We are dong this in partnership with Uganda Business Coalition Against HIV/AIDS, and Another Life International. We insist, contrary to the mains anti-HIV/AIDs fraternity, that the crucial issue here is behavior change and we carry this campaign to schools, business organizations (recently, together with UBC and ALI we hosted a one day symposium for all major corporations where we educated there human resource mangers on the great possibilities of behaviour change).

REQUEST FOR ASSISTANCE:

To this day, our source of everything still remains the Lord Most High. We depend on Him. However, we are aware that He employs people, agencies and ministries to do His will.

We appeal to you to stand with us spiritually, morally and materially. Spiritually, our needs relate to both our objectives and activities (both current and on-coming): please pray that our Lord will grant us wisdom, courage, integrity, favour, and all spiritual blessings in Christ necessary to accomplish the work before us.

Morally, we ask you to call on us, visit us, encourage us, through writing on the issues we have raised herein. Currently our e-Mail address is.

We do have financial needs as well. These are essential for the ministry to accomplish most of its tasks. Even the word of the Lord commends finances when in the book of Ecclesiastics Solomon note that like wisdom, money is a shelter (Ecc 7:12) Did you know that our very Lord when here on earth depended on some women to move to the next town? (see, Luke 8:1). And Paul commended the saints in Philippi for standing with his ministry financially (Philippians 4:10-19). Beloved, faith in Action international is no exception. The vision the Lord has blessed us with, needs your generous contribution and support.

This letter is basically our request to you to stand with us as we obey the command of our Lord. For every gift of and above we will in turn share with you a free offer of African tradition crafts made by widows and Orphans in Africa, your name written on it. Remember when you support or partner with us your helping us to reach out to the underprivileged the orphans, widow, children e.t.c. Not only with gospel but also with relief.

Please respond to the call. Remember, he who has called us is faithful even to thousand generations (palm 100:5. it may even be a difficult time for you and any gift you commit may be painful. But remember, He who has goes out weeping, carrying seed to sow, will return with songs of joy, carrying sheaves with him”.

Thanks a lot for being kind enough to consider this effort, which is only among, many others in the endeavor to fulfill the great commission. We are aware that you may be a partner with many other noble efforts. In this regard we are thankful to the Lord for your kindness. We encourage you to continue in this way and request that your do not decline in assisting any other ministry that you are already partnering with. We welcome you in the service of the king of kings and the Lord of lords. Amen!

CONCLUSION:

Jesus is Alive! He is the same yesterday, today and forever (Hebrews 13:8). He has never and will never forsake us or leave us: (Mathew 28:20). There is so much the church can accomplish with the Lord who strengthens us (Philippians 4:13). Our ambitions are really his commissions. He has called us not to our standard but his. The “excellence is of

God and not of us” (2 Corinthians 4:7).

We are sure that if we heed to his call and move in his pace, we shall achieve his results. The world is waiting, Africans are dying, the wars range on, and the first world is afraid of dangerous terrorists. But we have the answer to all these issues. His name is Jesus. As you work with us relating and sharing in every way, as the Lord allows you, let us have “the optimism of will” and not “the pessimism of intellect”. Thanks a lot for loving Him and serving Him.

On behalf of Faith in Action International communicate our request.

Yours sincerely,
